In short
- According to its own information, Trustpilot is an open review platform with a free basic account and paid subscriptions for businesses.
- trustmark.site combines reviews with business information, visible response activity and a separate trustmark assessment.
- We do not import reviews from Trustpilot. On trustmark.site you build up your reviews from scratch.
What Trustpilot itself states
Trustpilot
Open review platform
- According to Trustpilot, anyone with an account can write a review, including without an invitation from the business. Source: help.trustpilot.com/s/article/How-do-reviews-get-on-Trustpilot · checked on 10 October 2026
- Businesses can use a free basic account; there are also paid subscriptions. According to Trustpilot, paying has no influence on the TrustScore or on how reviews are moderated. Source: trustpilot.com/trust/our-business-model · checked on 10 October 2026

trustmark.site plans are annual plans: Basic, Growth, Pro and Premium. The plans page shows the annual amount, the setup fees and the price from year two.
View plans →How trustmark.site works
- New reviews first wait for review. If they are not approved or rejected sooner, they are published automatically: after 48 hours for 4 or 5 stars, after 14 days for 1, 2 or 3 stars.
- Each review shows what is known about the purchase: ‘Invited after order’, ‘Purchase verified’ or ‘Posted · purchase not verified’.
- Businesses reply publicly below a review. The profile shows how often and how quickly a business replies.
- Google ratings are shown separately, with source and measurement date. From the Growth plan onwards, Google reviews can also appear in your widgets, with their own score and attribution.
- Basic includes two widget formats, Growth six, and Pro and Premium all fifteen. You install them with the WordPress/WooCommerce plugin or with widget code on your own website.
- A trustmark follows from a separate assessment of four areas. A plan does not change scores, rankings or trustmark decisions.
- There are Dutch, German and English-language editions.
The calculation rules are set out in the methodology. How reviews are checked is explained on the review checks page.
